AESTHETIC BREAST SURGERY

Are you dissatisfied with the size or shape of your breast?

Similar to the field of reconstructive breast surgery, we have years of experience at the highest international level in aesthetic breast surgery.

In aesthetic breast surgery, we offer the full range of corrections and treatment options. The most common procedures include breast augmentation, breast reduction and breast lift.

We will gladly advise you and mutually agree on the best treatment that suits your needs.

BREAST ENLARGEMENT WITH SILICONE IMPLANTS AND OWN FAT

In breast augmentation using a silicone implant, the implant is inserted either under the breast gland or partially under the pectoral muscle. This depends on your anatomy, as well as your desired breast size. Together, we decide on the optimal implant for you. This can be round or teardrop-shaped. The skin incision is usually placed in the lower breast crease.

In special cases, the implant can also be inserted through an incision in the areola area (centre of the breast).

The latest development in breast augmentation is the combination of an implant inserted with injections of your own fat. In this case the implant is placed on top of the pectoral muscle, but below the thin layer of the muscle, known as the pectoralis fascia (the technique is known as subfascial breast augmentation).

BREAST ENLARGEMENT UNDER ULTRASOUND CONTROL WITH OWN FAT TRANSPLANTATION

The technique of breast augmentation by introduction of one's own fat is called lipofilling. It usually requires several surgical sessions to reach the target volume. The fat is extracted from different areas of the body, specially processed and reinserted into the breast, thus creating a natural silhouette.

The greatest advantage of breast augmentation using one's own fat is that no foreign matter or device is introduced. However, lipofilling of the breast is only suitable if a moderate enlargement is desired. To achieve greater precision in the placement of autologous fat, Professor Farhadi uses ultrasound, a method which he developed with Dr Alessia Lardi in Zurich.

BREAST REDUCTION WITH <<INTERNAL BRA>>

Breasts that is too big and too heavy can be a functional and psychological burden for women of all ages. These patients not only suffer from the appearance, difficulty in buying clothing and underwear that fit, but also from physical symptoms which include back pain, grooving of the shoulders from bra straps, and skin irritation in the lower breast crease. This problem can be solved with surgical breast reduction and is one of the commonest procedures in our practice.

Breast reduction removes the excess skin and glandular tissue of the breasts, simultaneously tightening the breast and repositioning the nipple areola complex, thereby resulting in a more youthful appearance.

The technique of the “internal bra” was developed by Professor Farhadi. This provides additional support for the breast tissue, leading to a longer lasting and more stable outcome. The resulting scars are placed in the lower breast fold, lower half of the breast and around the nipple. With optimal skin types and consistent scar care, the scars are barely visible.

BREAST LIFT - MASTOPEXY (BREAST TIGHTENING OR UPLIFT) COMBINED WITH OWN FAT OR IMPLANTS

The loss of skin elasticity of the breast is caused by weight loss, ageing, following breastfeeding or due to genetic predisposition. Intensive exercise does not prevent or improve this. With surgical breast tightening, a redistribution of the own breast tissue and a tightening of the excess skin occurs.

The breast is thus reshaped and presents a more youthful appearance. If the patient also wants an increase in breast volume, the tightening procedure can be combined with the insertion of breast implants or with injections of their own fat (lipofilling).
